DES MOINES - The Iowa Central track and field program will get their chance to compete close to home, as they have several athletes qualified for the Drake Relays.

Action begins at Drake Stadium here on Thursday. 

On the men's side, Yared Kidane (800), Terry McNeill Jr. (110 hurdles), Aries Scott (long jump), Roman Kuleshov (triple jump) and James MacKey Jr. (discus, hammer) qualified in individual events.

The Tritons will also have relays in the 4x100, 4x400, 4x800, shuttle hurdle, sprint medley and distance medley events. 

For the Iowa Central women, Victoria Adu (hammer) is entered into individual events with relays in the 4x100, 4x800 and distance medley.

The Region XI Championships begin Sunday, May 1 in Council Bluffs. The NJCAA Championships are set for May 19-21 in Hutchinson, Kansas.
