"Both the men's and women's teams saw significant improvement from last year's team finish in Hutchinson, KS," said Head Coach Dee Brown. "We suffered some set-backs earlier in the year with some season ending injuries and then we were unfortunately hit again during the meet. Despite that, our squad focused on what we could do well and we had some amazing performances at the end of the three days. Joel and Roman finished with national-runner up performances and Waukeem tied a school record in the long jump. The majority of our athletes had personal best performances. We are leaving New Mexico with some great memories and for those athletes who have a 'next year' with us or are transferring to a four-year university; they have some bigger goals to chase."
