Triton's Kuleshov Named NJCAA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Scholar Athlete of the Year

Iowa Central Track and Field Athlete Roman Kuleshov was recently named the 2023 NJCAA Men's Indoor Track and Field National Scholar Athlete of the Year. Kuleshov, a sophomore from Nizhnekamask, Russia, maintained a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0.

Kuleshov was a standout for the Tritons in the 2022-2023 Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Seasons in the Men's Long Jump and Triple Jump. Kuleshov received multiple ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors for his performance and was the NJCAA Region 11 Men's Field Athlete of the Year. He was a national runner-up in the long jump and triple jump at the NJCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships, NJCAA Indoor Track and Field All-American in the Triple Jump and a Drake Relays Champion in the Triple Jump.
