Men's Distance Medley Team Earns ICCAC Athlete of the Week Recognition

Mens Distance Med Relay team earned gold at nationals, receiving the ICCAC Athlete of the Week.

Iowa Central ran the fastest Distance Medley Relay time in the history of the NJCAA last week at the NJCAA National Championships-- and it wasn't close.

They ran a 9:44.89-- breaking the school, facility, meet and NJCAA records.

Jed Elmbarki ran the 1200, Bongumusa Nkosi powered the 400, Jadon Boots took the 800 and Housem Hrabi anchored the remaining 1600.

Hrabi paced himself in stride for about 1000 meters with an Indian Hills runner. After that, he passed him and then set his sights on South Plains, who had about a 20-meter lead.

Over the next 600 meters, he slowly chipped at his lead and made a final pass of him on the last lap and held South Plains off down the homestretch.
