Stephen Sydnor is leading the nation in the long jump in the early going of the 2024 NJCAA Outdoor Track & Field season.

At the ACU Wes Kittley Invite Sydnor jumped an event-best 7.38 meters, beating out second place by one foot.

The freshman has the only national qualifying mark after the first weekend of competition.

The jump put him 10th all-time in the historical Iowa Central record books.
