Men's Cross Country Takes First at Trent Smith Invitational

The Iowa Central Men's Cross Country Team competed in the Trent Smith Invitational Cross Country Meet in Mason City on Friday September 15.

The Tritons saw eight runners finish in the top-20, including the top three across the finish line, and finished first place in the team standings.

Sophomore Jadon Boots was the individual champion, finishing with a time of 26:09.64 followed by teammates Joseph Wright in second place with a time of 26:30.26 and Hamza Mohamed in third with a time of 26:33.89.

Seth Cheney finished ninth with a time of 27:33.94 and Tritons Baylor Bergren finished 14th, Antoine Tshimanga 16th, Alex Wiilford 17th and Chase Deiter 18th.

Ben Reyes, Gavin Stalzer and Andrew Burke completed the Triton line-up finishing 21st, 27th and 33rd respectively.

The men's team will next  be in action on September 29 as they travel to the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
