The Iowa Central Mens and Women's Cross Country Teams traveled to West Salem, Wisconsin to compete in the Jim Drews (men's) and Tori Neubauer (women's) Invitationals on Saturday October 14.

Joseph Wright finished the race in 51st place out of a field of 376 runners with a time of 26:32.2 Triton Andrew Boyum  finished in 56th just three seconds behind Wright, running 26:35.7 Sophomore Jadon Boots ran 26:44.5 taking 61st. Seth Cheney finished 96th with a time of 27:25.2 to round out the top 100 finishers for Iowa Central.

Other individual times for the Iowa Central men included Antoine Tshiminga, 28:12.2; Alex Wilford, 28:55.9; Chase Dieter, 29:25.9; Gavin Stalzer, 29:39.0; Ben Reyes, 29:44.3; Kaden Golder, 31:13.8; AJ Burke, 31:37..9 and Alex Aguilar Camarena, 32:31.5

"Half of our men ran their best races ever, which is exactly what we hope and expect them to do this time of the year," said Dee Brown, Iowa Central director of cross country. "The course was wet and muddy with a bit of a chill in the air, which is perfect racing weather despite the course conditions."

For the Iowa Central Women, Maurine Limo ran 25:58.8, Natalie Bogdanova Kirilova ran 28:03.8, Morgan Bodholt ran 29:03.4 and Raylene Williams 29:51.7.

"For the women, their distance moved up to 6km from 5km -about half a mile further," said Brow. "This intimidated them a bit. However, a few of them still ran amazing times through 5km and over the 6km distance."

Both the Triton men and women will next be in action when they run at the NAIA Seminole Valley Stampede in Cedar Rapids on Saturday October 21.
