SAN ANTONIO - The Iowa Central sport shooting team is in the thick of the action here at the ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Championships.

The event concludes on Saturday from the National Shooting Complex. 

In the American Trap team standings, the Tritons were first in Division 4 thanks to scores by Chase Martin, Andrew Troje, Tristan Hoy, Ethan Bazyn and SallyJo Gecker.

Iowa Central was second in the same division in the Super Shooting team standings behind scores posted by Martin, Bazyn, Thayne Chapin, Taya Myers and Hoy.

Martin and Troje each fired 99s in the American Trap open division with Hoy a 97. Sarah Sundene had a 97 and Myers a 93 in American Trap open. Martin was fourth and Troje eighth. 

In the American Trap Class division, Gecker and Bazyn fired 97s with Drake Jones and Justin Marcinik each having 95s. Roy Gerlach had a 94 and Sarah England a 90. Gecker was third, Bazyn fourth, Jones seventh and Marcinik 10th.

In the Super Sporting Class, Martin had an 82, Bazyn a 77, Chapin a 76 and Troje a 74. Martin was 10th.
