Jessica Gunderson joins the Iowa Central sports shooting coaching staff following her own standout career with the Tritons.

Gunderson won the 2016 ACUI Women's National Trap title in 2016 along with the ACUI Women's Regional Trap crown and Iowa SCTP Women's State Trap championship that year. In 2017, she captured the Iowa SCTP title won again and went on to win the 2017 Iowa State Junior Olympic Trap title.

During her time with the Tritons, Gunderson was also involved in Triton Marching Band and Pep Band, earning herself the title of 2017 Iowa Central Female Athlete of the Year.

Gunderson attended Missouri Valley College where she claimed titles of 2018 ACUI Regional Skeet champion, 2018 ACUI Regional Super Sporting Clays runner-up, 2019 ACUI Regional Super Sporting Clays second runner-up, 2019 SCTP Women's National Olympic Trap second runner-up, 2019 ACUI Women's National Olympic Trap runner-up and became the first-ever MVC Shooting Sports Athlete to become a member of the ACUI All-America team. 

In addition to her shooting, Gunderson was also an active member of the Concert Choir, Concert Band, Drumline and Jazz Band.

Gunderson was a student coach for one season at Missouri Valley and is currently a graduate student at Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis studying music technology while remaining active in ATA and SCTP events.
