AMES - The Iowa Central rodeo team opened their spring season here this past weekend at the Cyclone Stampede hosted by Iowa State University.

The Tritons won the men's team title, scoring 570 points with the women finishing third overall.

Scott Halverson was crowned the men's all-around champion as he finished first in tie-down roping and fourth in team roping header.

John Allen was first in saddle bronc riding, Drew Lind second in bareback riding, Camden Schroeder third in team roping header, Coy Nelson third in team roping heeler and Tory Jacobs first in goat tying.

Iowa Central heads to Brookings, South Dakota this Friday for the Jackrabbit Stampede.
