The Iowa Central rodeo teams put together strong regular seasons, and will now be representing the Tritons at the upcoming college national finals.

On the men's side, Iowa Central qualified as a team and will be competing against the top colleges and universities around the country in Casper, Wyoming this June. They also qualified in several individual events for the 10-day tournament, while the women will be sending Tori Jacobs.

Sage Vance, John Allen, Drew Lind and Cody Cole will represent Iowa Central in the roughstock events both as individuals and a team. Scott Halverson, the all-around champion of the Great Plains region, will represent the Tritons on the timed events side.

Halverson won three buckles and three saddles and will be in team roping and tie down roping.

Camden Schroeder, a former East Sac County standout, will be in action in the team roping. Jacobs will be competing in goat tying.

Iowa Central head coach Bridget Coleman was named the region coach of the year for the fourth time after leading the men to the regional title. The women finished fifth overall.

"I am very grateful to both my team and the other coaches for this honor," Coleman said. "Without these amazing athletes and my assistant coaches, none of this would be possible. I am very proud of all my athletes and excited for those who qualified for college nationals."

Nationals take place June 12-18 and will stream live on ESPN3.
