Tritons Finish Second, Third at Jackrabbit Stampede

The Iowa Central Rodeo Team competed at the South Dakota State University Jackrabbit Stampede April 12-13.

The Triton women finished as runners-up in the team standings with 290 points. The men's team finished third overall with 478 points in the team standings.

Cody Owens won the long go in Saddle Bronc and finished as overall champion in the event and Cash Owens won the third go and finished fourth overall.

Rachel Werkman won the long go and overall event champion in Barrel Racing.

Jenna Hume finished 10th in the long round and won the overall average in Breakaway Roping.

Cael Hilzendeger took second in the long round and finished seventh overall in Team Roping.

Drew Lind won the long round and took third overall in Bareback Riding and Jeremy Hennen finished fourth.

Jesse Vesperman received seventh place in the long go and finished in fourth place overall in Steer Wrestling. Coy Nelson finished seventh in the long go and third in overall points in Tiedown Roping.

The Tritons are currently second overall in the men's team standings in the Great Plains Region and the women are in fourth.
