Iowa Central head rodeo coach Bridget Lambright Coleman enters her 16th year at Iowa Central this fall. Lambright, who took over the program in 2009, has helped Iowa Central become one of the elite collegiate rodeo programs in the nation.

Under Lambright Coleman, the Tritons have sent 50 individuals to the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyo. In 2012, the men’s team qualified to compete as a team for the first time in program history and finished 15th overall. They repeated the feat in 2013 and came home with at 19th place finish.

Iowa Central has also been successful in the Great Plains Region. Iowa Central’s men have finished as Regional Champions in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023 and Reserve Champions in 2012 and 2013. Lambright was also been named the Great Plains Region Coach of the Year in 2012, 2013, 2018, 2022, and 2023.  Lambright was also named the NIRA Coach of the Year in 2023.  

Lambright Coleman is a 2005 graduate of Missouri Valley College with a Bachelor's Degree in Small Business Development and she earned her Masters of Arts and Management from Lindenwood in 2007.

Bridget was raised in Savannah, Mo., and has been around rodeo her entire life. Bridget's Rodeo accomplishments include NHSRA State Champion Breakaway Roper (Missouri), Missouri-Kansas Champion Breakaway Roper, four-time National High School Finals Rodeo Qualifier in the Breakaway Roping placing third one year and winning the 1996 National High School Finals Rodeo Championship. Lambright Coleman has also qualified for the Missouri Rodeo Cowboys Associations State Finals and the United Rodeo Associations Finals. She also voluntarily helped coach the Breakaway Ropers and Calf Ropers at Missouri Valley from 2003-2006.  Lambright Coleman was the Assistant Rodeo Coach at Missouri Valley College from 2006-2008.
