John Young is in his fourth season with the Iowa Central rodeo program.

Young, raised in Orient, Iowa, graduated from Iowa Central with his associate's degree in business. He is a four-time National High School Finals Rodeo qualifier and also competed twice at the College National Finals Rodeo for the Tritons in bull riding, winning the Great Plains Region in 2012 and placing sixth twice at the CNFR.

He was also the Great Lakes Circuit Finals Year-End champion in 2012 and 2015. Young won the 2013 Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo title.
