COUNCIL BLUFFS - The Iowa Central softball team dropped a pair of ICCAC games to Iowa Western here Saturday.

Scores were 4-2 and 14-6.

Paytton Crawford recorded two hits in the opener with a run scored while Allyson Stewart also scored a run for the Tritons. Rachel Newell had a walk and a stolen base, with Madison Huisman picking up seven strikeouts.

The Reivers overcome a 2-0 deficit with a four-run fourth. 

In the second game, Iowa Central took a 6-1 lead after plating six runs in the third, but Iowa Western answered with 11 in its half of the frame. 

Mady Lange had two hits and drove in two with a run scored, Loghen Schnetzer and Megan Poole each had an RBI, and Stewart reached base twice with a run.

These two teams play another doubleheader here on Sunday.
