BURLINGTON - The Iowa Central softball team picked up their first victories of the season here Saturday at the SCC Turf Tournament. 

The Tritons downed both Olney Central (11-3) and North Platte (10-0) in five innings. 

Amber McKinney had three hits, driving in five runs with two doubles in the opener. Mackenzie Crampton earned the win, striking out three with just one hit allowed. Taylor Lee had two strikeouts and both McKinney and Mady Lange picked up three hits. 

Carlie Thompson, Jori Hajek and Riley Gilroy each had two hits.

In the win over North Platte, Olivia Engler struck out 11 over five innings, allowing just one hit. Thompson had three hits at the plate.

Iowa Central returns to action here on Sunday vs. Mount Mercy JV and Spoon River.
