MARSHALLTOWN - The Iowa Central softball team claimed two more victories here Wednesday, sweeping Marshalltown.

Scores were 3-2 and 12-8.

In the opener, the Tritons plated the winning run in the fifth. Carlie Thompson had two doubles and drove in two runs, with Olivia Harmon scoring twice. 

Mackenzie Crampton picked up the win, allowing just four hits with a walk. Neither run scored by the Tigers was earned. 

Sydney Ballard hit a homer in the second game with Loghen Schnetzer driving in two. 

Schnetzer and Harmon each had a double, as Harmon went 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI. She also reached on a walk.

Ballard drove in two and Mady Lange had three hits with two runs scored. Jori Hajek added two hits and Schnetzer scored twice.

Mikhaela Muir picked up the win, striking out three, while Taylor Lee pitched two innings in relief.

Iowa Central heads to Iowa Falls for a weekend series with Ellsworth on Saturday and Sunday.
