IOWA FALLS - The Iowa Central softball team stretched their current win streak to 15 with a second consecutive sweep of Ellsworth here Sunday.
Scores were 3-2 and 12-4.
In the opener, Olivia Engler pitched two innings of one-hit ball, striking out four in relief of Mackenzie Crampton, who struck out two over the first five innings.
Down 2-1 in the sixth, the Tritons (26-10 overall, 9-3 in ICCAC) plated two runs. Engler recorded the final outs with the potential game-tying run on base.
Riley Gilroy had two hits, Amber McKinney drove in two and Gilroy, Carlie Thompson and Loghen Schnetzer each scored a run.
Thompson also drove in a run.
In the nightcap, Jori Hajek was 3-for-3 with five RBI and two doubles, Thompson stole two bases and scored two runs, and Olivia Harmon was 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
Schnetzer also scored twice with McKinney adding two more RBI.
The Tritons return to action Friday when they host Des Moines Area at Rogers Park at 2 p.m.
