In one of the more impressive feats this season, Iowa Central's Sydney Ballard (at the time of submission) had gone 15 for 15 in her last 15 at-bats. Last week, Ballard went 16 for 22 from the plate for a .727 average. She picked up five doubles, two home runs and nine RBI for the surging Tritons – who won six games including four conference games. Ballard is one of the top hitters in the conference – leading the league in at-bats (157). She has 72 hits in those at-bats – good for third-most in ICCAC DII. She's in the top 10 in average (.459, 6^th), doubles (17, 7^th) and RBI (52, 8^th). At the time of this post, Iowa Central had won nine consecutive games, their longest streak of the season.
