The Iowa Central softball team pushed their win streak to double figures with a sweep of the Morningside JV here Wednesday evening at Rogers Park.

Scores were 8-0 and 10-2,

Aleena Sandy and Sydney Ballard both connected on home runs in the opener, while Olivia Harmon and Riley Gilroy each drove in two runs and scored once. Gilroy also had a pair of stolen bases.

That was enough support for Taylor Lee, as she picked up the win with five innings of three-hit ball, striking out three. Gilroy pitched the sixth, striking out the side.

In the nightcap, Katelyn Dennis and Gilroy combined for 10 strikeouts, as each picked up five. Jori Hajek was 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs and a stolen base, while Ballard had two hits.

"We got some contributions from other girls that don't always get an opportunity, so it was great to get them into the game," ICCC head coach Bo Tjebben said. "I'm happy with how we're playing right now, so hopefully we can finish up strong this weekend and bring that momentum into the conference tournament."

This wrapped up the home portion of the schedule for the Tritons (28-21-1), as they went 8-4 at home and have now won 11 in a row.

Iowa Central concludes the regular season in Boone this Saturday and Sunday with four games vs. No. 13 Des Moines Area.
