BOONE — The Iowa Central softball squad split with 13th-ranked DMACC on Sunday in their regular-season finale, posting a 9-7 win in the opener.

The Tritons dropped the nightcap, 13-4.

Iowa Central (29-24-1 overall, 12-12 in the ICCAC) took a 6-1 lead in game one and never looked back. Former Humboldt standout Jori Hajek was the catalyst, going 2-for-4 with two runs, three RBI and a stolen base.

Riley Gilroy added two hits, while Myra Megli and Sydney Ballard both doubled. This was only DMACC's 10th loss of the season.

Katelynn Dennis was the winning pitcher for the Tritons.

Seven different Iowa Central players recorded hits in the second contest. Megli doubled.

On Saturday, the Tritons were swept by the Bears (44-10, 17-7) by scores of 11-3 and 10-2.

Ballard had two hits, including a double, in the opener. Amber McKinney and Olivia Harmon picked up a pair of hits in the nightcap, with Harmon stealing two bases.

Former Humboldt star Kendal Clark, a University of Alabama recruit, homered in both wins on Saturday and drove in five to fuel DMACC in game two. Clark then scored twice, drove in a pair and walked twice on Sunday in the second game.

For the season, Clark is batting .409 with 17 home runs and 52 RBI. She has 23 doubles and is slugging 1.039.
