Boone – The Triton softball team fell to No. 9 ranked DMACC here Saturday.
The Bears swept the Tritons in two close contests, each 4-3.
The Bears had a 4-0 lead before the Tritons scored three in the sixth but would get no closer in game one.
Gabrielle Taber had two RBI for the Tritons and Alexis Hansen added one.
In the second contest of the day, the Tritons kept the Bears scoreless after the fourth, and scored single runs in the second, fifth and sixth.
Taber led the Triton offense with a home run and an RBI. Carly Ryan and Kaylee Cary each had doubles.
The Tritons conclude the regular season Monday with a home doubleheader against 20th ranked NIACC and open regional play Friday with opponent and location to be determined.
