ICCAC Athlete of the Week Honors for French

Jillian French – Iowa Central – Freshman – RHP 
Jillian French had an impressive week for the Tritons, earning an ERA of .389 and a record of 4-0. Over 18 innings, she surrendered just three runs and nine hits, while striking out 21 batters. Two standout performances came in 8-0 wins. First, against Joliet (Ill.), French tossed four hitless innings, striking out eight. Then, she nearly threw a no-hitter against Monroe (N.Y.), allowing just one hit and collecting seven strikeouts. The only runs she allowed came in a 5-3 victory over Lake Michigan, where she recorded four strikeouts.
