After falling 6-3 in the opener on Friday (3/21) to #17 Johnson County, the #19 Tritons picked up three wins to finish a weekend of matchups with ranked opponents in Kansas City, MO. 
 
"We played two really good ranked teams," said Triton Head Coach, Bo Tjebben. "We played well all weekend with good pitching, defense, and timely hitting."
 
The Tritons bounced back in game two with Johnson County behind two RBI from Jayda Long and Breanna Nolte for a 6-4 win. Jillian French (6-0) pitched four solid innings with two strikeouts to pick up her sixth win.
 
The Tritons would sweep Saturday's (3/22) double-header with Kansas City Kansas Community College, 7-1 and 7-2. 
 
Jayda Long moved to 8-1 on the season with a complete game and six strikeouts in the 7-1 victory. Long and Natalie Rasmussen each added two RBI at the plate. 
 
Down 2-0 after three innings in the finale with KCK, the Tritons scored four in the fourth and went on to the 7-2 win. Long and Avery McKinney each added two RBI and Jadeyn Stahr (3-0) picked up the win on the mound. 
 
"Kyra Kain led us at the plate going 7-14 on the weekend and Bre had a big homerun for us when we needed it," said Tjebben. "Our schedule stays tough with #10 Kirkwood and #14 NIACC coming to town."
 
Up next for the Tritons is #10 Kirkwood on Thursday, March 27 (rescheduled from March 29) at Harlan Rogers. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
