This season marks Coach Tjebbens 4^th year as Head Coach, 9^th year overall with the Iowa Central Softball program. Tjebben, a Fort Dodge Senior High graduate and former All-State and Hall of Fame Baseball player, went on to play for Iowa Central after competing in 2 state tournaments for the Dodgers and after ICCC went on to play baseball for Iowa State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree.

Before landing at Iowa Central, Tjebben coached softball over a decade for Fort Dodge Girls Fastpitch travel squads and assisted the Fort Dodge Dodger Softball High school program. Tjebben also served on the Board many years for the Fort Dodge Girls Fastpitch Association and is named in the Hall of Fame for both Fort Dodge Senior High (Baseball) and Fort Dodge Softball Association (Softball).

In Tjebben’s first season as head coach, the Lady Tritons shattered the program record for team home runs with 88 led by Loghen Schnetzer, who broke the single season record with 27. Schnetzer was named All American by multiple outlets with an additional 11 Tritons named to the All-Region XI team, 2 additionally making the NJCAA DIV II Midwest Region team.

Under Tjebben in year 2, Tritons ended their season 38-18, chalking up another 11 players to the All-Region XI team, with Riley Gilroy landing additionally on the All-Region NJCAADIV II Midwest Region team. 15 Tritons were also named to the Academic All Region list. In year 3, Tjebben surpassed his 100^th career victory as head coach, and landed another 9 players on the All Region XI team, and 14 to the Academic All Region.

In addition to head coach, Tjebben is also Athletic Coordinator for Iowa Central and resides in Fort Dodge with his wife Chrissy and two daughters Cassie and Bre. Both daughters earned honors playing softball for Iowa Central and are on the Triton Softball staff. Cassie serves as Full time Assistant/Pitching coach and Bre as a volunteer assistant.
