Bill Myers joins us in his first year as a volunteer assistant coach on coach Tjebben’s staff at Iowa Central. Coach Myers recently retired from the Army National Guard after serving 10 years of Guard time, followed up with 20 years of active duty.
He’s been Assistant Coach the past 3 years for Fort Dodge Saint Edmond High School Softball as well as an Assistant Coach in the travel circuit for 7 years, involved in several different organizations, Fort Dodge Pride, Freedom Fastpitch and 3 years with the Iowa Premier National Team out of Des Moines. In 2023 was an assistant on the Iowa Premier 16U National team that finished 3rd at the Alliance National Tournament in California.
Coach Myers was born and raised in Fort Dodge. His family includes his wife, Son and 3 daughters. His wife G Myers played soccer here at Iowa Central from 2000-2002. His son Jordan Myers lives in Arizona with his soon to be wife Aleah. All 3 daughters go to St Edmond and play softball, Mariah (17) is a Senior and committed to the University of Iowa to play softball in 2025. Rihanna (13) plays for the Ankeny XTREME and is in 8th grade and Aaliyah (10) plays for the Fort Dodge Pride and is in 5th grade.
We’re excited to have Coach Myers join our staff, he brings an abundance of softball experience to our team and will be assisting in all aspects.
