Iowa Central opens season with a victory

Aaliyah Hull and Justice Crooks both recorded double-doubles as the Iowa Central women's basketball team posted a convincing 75-49 victory over William Penn JV Sunday in their season opener at Hodges Fieldhouse.

Hull scored a game-high 16 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, with Crooks adding 12 points and 10 boards with five assists. 

In their first games as Tritons, freshmen Isabell West scored 12 points and Anni Cummings added 11. 

Iowa Central domianted on the glass, holding a 52-32 edge in total rebounds. 

Avery Tilley added eight points and Jacie Stephenson six. 

The Tritons return to the court Tuesday, hosting Marshalltown at 5:30 p.m.
