Iowa Central improves to 2-0 with convincing win

The Iowa Central women's basketball team was clicking on all cylinders Tuesday night, posting a convincing 74-39 victory over Marshalltown.

It marked the second time in two games this year that the Tritons (2-0 overall) have scored at least 70 points. 

Iowa Central raced out to a 25-9 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Justice Crooks scored a game-high 15 points, hitting 7 of 10 shots from the field including a 3-pointer. She also dished out seven assists, had five rebounds and four steals on the night.

Anni Cummings scored 12 points, draining four 3-pointers, with Isabell West adding 12 points. 

Aaliyah Hull scored nine with seven rebounds and two blocks, Jordan Engbrecht added nine points and five boards, and Mardaeja Cross had seven points and 13 rebounds. 

The Tritons return to the floor this Friday and Saturday, competing in Norfolk, Neb. at the Northeast Classic.
