Crooks heading to Presentation College

Justice Crooks has found her new home as the Fort Dodge Senior High graduate will take her talents to Presentation College.

Crooks averaged just under 11 points per game on 50 percent shooting from the floor this past season for Iowa Central.

"The coaching staff (at Presentation) were extremely welcoming," Crooks said. "Personally and financially, Presentation was just a fit for me."

The former Dodger standout played in 38 games during her time with the Tritons, battling injuries to score 307 points with 142 rebounds, 108 assists and 44 steals.

"My time at Iowa Central was a bit of a rocky road for me with the injuries I've had," Crooks said. "Both Coach (Kelly) Kruger and Coach (Sabah) Dickerson are coaches I will never forget. They pushed me to be the best person, teammate and student that I could be. Even when I could not play, I was constantly being pushed to work on the things that I could still do.

"Overall, I enjoyed being a Triton and I will never forget that."

As a redshirt sophomore this past season for Iowa Central, Crooks scored in double figures in nine of the 13 games she played in, including a high of 16 twice. The Tritons were 8-5 in games she played in.

Presentation College, located in Aberdeen, South Dakota, competes at the NAIA level and is part of the North Star Athletic Association. Last year, the Saints went 3-25 under head coach Nicole Bullock, who was in her first season. Bullock is a native of Sac City.

Her Triton teammate, Aaliyah Hull, will also be joining Crooks at the school. Hull posted nine points and eight rebounds per game this past season.
