MASON CITY - Double-doubles by both Nevaeh Galloway and Isabell West helped the Iowa Central women post a 68-51 victory over North Iowa Area here Wednesday night.

Galloway scored 12 points with 11 rebounds while West added 25 and 12 for the Tritons (3-4 overall, 3-4 in ICCAC). Jordan Engbrecht and Nevaeh Moeschter each chipped in with eight points.

Iowa Central raced out to a 14-7 lead after the first, adding to that advantage by outscoring the Trojans in the second quarter, 20-15. The Tritons would lead by as many as 27 during the game.

"The girls had a great bounce-back game," Iowa Central head coach Brian Ortmeier said. "We defended and rebounded the ball much better overall.

"Our ladies executed the game plan that we put in place. Now, we need to keep the momentum moving forward on Saturday."

For NIACC, Kourtney Manning had 20 points and 16 rebounds.

Iowa Central returns home to face Marshalltown on Saturday inside Hodges Fieldhouse at 1 p.m.
