Iowa Central falls on the road

COUNCIL BLUFFS - The Iowa Central women started fast here Tuesday night against Iowa Western but were unable to keep the momentum going, falling 82-56.

The Reivers (10-2 overall, 10-1 in ICCAC) erased a 15-13 deficit by outscoring the Tritons (4-5, 4-5) 17-8 in the second quarter.

Isabell West had her eighth consecutive double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds while Nevaeh Galloway added 14 points and six boards. Carley West chipped in 11 points, seven rebounds and four steals.

For Iowa Western, Hayley Berfield and Gabriella Smith each scored 17 while Ruba Abo Hashesh had 14.

Nevaeh Moeschter had six points with Sherynn Titus added four and both Autumn Dykstra and Jordan Engbrecht chipped in three for the Tritons.

Iowa Central remains on the road this Saturday when they head to second-ranked Kirkwood (9-0, 9-0) beginning at 1 p.m.
