Autumn Dykstra scored eight of her 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Iowa Central women posted a 76-63 victory over Southwestern here Saturday inside Hodges Fieldhouse.

After seeing much of a 15-point halftime lead get cut into by the Spartans, the Tritons went back to what was working, according to head coach Brian Ortmeier.

"We kind of got away from our bread-and-butter," Ortmeier said. "As you can see, by scoring 24 points in the fourth, we went back to it and it was working."

With a third consecutive win, the Tritons are now 7-7 overall and 7-7 in the ICCAC. Isabell West had 19th career double-double, scoring 16 points with 21 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive end.

Carley West and Nevaeh Galloway each added 16 with Nevaeh Moeschter scoring 10 and Jordan Engbrecht eight. Galloway also had seven rebounds and five blocked shots with Dykstra, Engbrecht and Carley West dishing out two assists each.

"Autumn really did a great job there, especially in the fourth," Ortmeier said. "This is a key point in the season and it's good to get some momentum going now with three consecutive wins."

Isabell West, the reigning NJCAA Div. II Player of the Week, had her double-double by halftime with 12 points and 10 rebounds as the Tritons led 40-25. 

For Southwestern (8-8, 8-7), Whytner Waterhouse-Brennan had 19 points and 11 rebounds while Kaylynn Tucker added 13 and Alyssa Morris 10. 

Iowa Central plays its next two games on the road, heading to Norfolk, Neb. on Wednesday to meet Northeast (10-6, 9-6) before heading to Estherville next Saturday to face Iowa Lakes (6-9, 6-9). Northeast bested Southeastern yesterday, 59-51, and Iowa Lakes did not play.
