West's 20-20 leads Tritons to fifth straight

ESTHERVILLE - Isabell West had another 20-20 and the Iowa Central women won for the fifth consecutive time, downing Iowa Lakes here Wednesday night, 65-56.

West, who committed to Murray State recently, scored 26 points and pulled down 23 rebounds, adding four steals, two assists and a blocked shot for the Tritons (9-7 overall, 9-7 in ICCAC).

Nevaeh Galloway and Carley West each scored 13 and combined for 13 rebounds, four assists, three steals and five blocks.

Iowa Central has knocked off the Lakers (7-10, 7-10), Northeast, Southwestern, Ellsworth and Southeastern since a loss earlier this month to Iowa Lakes by five points. The last three wins have all evened the season series with those conference rivals.

Jordan Engbrecht chipped in eight points with Autumn Dykstra scoring three and grabbing five rebounds. As a team, the Tritons were plus-10 on the glass and plus-seven in second chance points.

For Iowa Lakes, Madison Hough and Jaeda Whitner each scored 12.

Iowa Central returns home on Saturday, hosting Southeastern at 5 p.m.
