Iowa Central answers call on the road

ESTHERVILLE - The 18th-ranked Iowa Central women moved to 10-0 on the season with a thrilling overtime victory over Iowa Lakes here Wednesday night.

The Tritons (10-0 overall, 2-0 in ICCAC) outscored the Lakers 11-2 in the extra session as Taylor McKinney scored five and Nevaeh Galloway nine.

McKinney knocked down a 3-pointer and Galloway was 4-for-6 at the free throw line. Iowa Central was 8 of 10 at the line in overtime. 

Galloway and Ashley Fountain each had double-doubles, as Galloway scored 16 with 10 rebounds and three blocked shots, while Fountain recorded 16 points, 13 boards, six assists and three steals. 

Carley West scored 14 and had six rebounds, three steals and three assists, McKinney finished with 11 points and Autumn Dykstra had 10. Jayden Frank added three points and five rebounds.

For the Lakers, Jaeda Whitney had 15 points and Jasmine Jones 13 with 11 rebounds.

The Tritons return home to host Ellsworth Saturday inside Hodges Fieldhouse at 1 p.m.
