Triton Women win 88-77 over grandview in a home game November 20

The Iowa Central Women's Basketball Team continued on a roll as they defeated Grandview JV Monday morning.

The Tritons, now 6-0 on the season, started strong in the first quarter, outscoring Grandview 20-7. 

Freshman Laney Pilcher scored 20 and led the way for the Tritons in just 10 minutes of total game play.

"Laney was very consistent for us," said Triton Head Coach Sabah Dickerson. "She was 50 from the floor which is fantastic."

Alicia Hatlestad had 15 points, four rebounds and five assists for the Tritons. Former Fort Dodge Senior High standout Laney Maehl had her first collegiate double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Tritons.  

Kaitlyn Tendal added 13 points and five rebounds and was three for five from the line and Emily Theiss had 10 points for the Tritons.

Amaya Terrell and Mia Danielson each added four points from the bench and Tayler Reaves added eight.

"I've got to give kudos to our bench, they put in 16 points for us," said Dickerson. "We are continuing to find our offensive rhythm. As we get closer to conference play, I am cautiously optimistic for the season."

The Tritons will play road games at Marshalltown and Ellsworth on November 29 and December 2 before returning to Hodges Fieldhouse vs. NIACC on December 6.
