WEST BURLINGTON — The Iowa Central women picked up a convincing 91-48 victory over Southeastern here Wednesday night.

This marked the fourth straight win for the Tritons (13-3 overall, 5-3 in ICCAC), who moved to 6-1 on the road this year.

Laney Pilcher had a career-high 34 points, knocking down five 3-pointers. She also had four rebounds, four assists and two steals. Kaitlyn Tendal added 14 points, nine boards, five assists and five steals, and Lainey Maehl had 10 points.

"This was a quality win for our team," ICCC head coach Sabah Dickerson said. "Our communication, press rotation, ball movement and offensive execution was strong. The season is long and we have challenged our team to take it one game at a time.

"Our team locked in early and controlled the game for 40 minutes."

Iowa Central raced out to a 27-10 lead after the opening 10 minutes and scored at least 20 points in the remaining three quarters.

"We still have some things to clean up, but the focus of our team was on a different level," Dickerson said. "This was a great team win for us."

For Southeastern, Naire Lucas had a double-double, scoring 14 points while grabbing 15 rebounds. Victoria Escribano added 13 and Princess Ibeh 11.

Up next for the Tritons will be a return to Hodges Fieldhouse on Saturday to play Iowa Lakes. Tip is set for 1 p.m. The Lakers fell to No. 2 Iowa Western last night, 62-38.
