Triton Women Fall to NIACC on the Road

Iowa Central's Tendal led with 17 points vs. NIACC

MASON CITY — The Iowa Central women dropped a 78-67 decision at NIACC on Wednesday.

Emily Theiss had 14 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Tritons (15-6 overall, 7-6 in the ICCAC). Kaitlyn Tendal scored 17 points, with Laney Pilcher contributing 11 points and eight rebounds.

Mia Danielson added eight points and seven boards.

Iowa Central's Alexis Schroeder and Tori Miller both finished with 18 points for the Trojans (16-5, 9-3).

The visitors led 37-32 at halfime, but NIACC dominated the third quarter, holding a 34-16 advantage.

The Tritons return to action on Wednesday at home against Ellsworth. Tip time inside Hodges Fieldhouse is set for 5:30 p.m.
