ESTHERVILLE — The Iowa Central women pushed their win streak to three in a row here Wednesday night, topping Iowa Lakes, 77-67.

Laney Pilcher led four players in double figurs with 19, as Alicia Hatlestad added 15. Both Kaitlyn Tendal and Emily Theiss scored 13 for the Tritons (18-6 overall, 10-6 in ICCAC).

Tendal also had a team-high seven rebounds with three steals, knocking down three 3-pointers.

"This win was key for us as we continue to press forward in this final stretch of the regular season," ICCC head coach Sabah Dickerson said. "We came out flat but we used our press and our tempo game to get the lead back."

Iowa Central was down by six after the first quarter before putting together a 22-12 run to take the lead.

"Alicia was gritty on offense," Dickerson said. "She had good deflections, strong takes at the lane and her mid-range game has been improving.

"Emily played physical inside and that was huge for us. She has range and that makes her a hard matchup for many."

For the Lakers, Emma Kanz had 16, Alexandria Wolff 15 and Gracelyn Deputy 14.

The Tritons head to Boone to face Des Moines Area on Saturday.
