Women's Basketball Wins in Creston 71-53

Creston - The Iowa Central women used a strong fourth quarter to lead them past Southwestern Saturday.

The Tritons (19-8 overall 11-8 ICCAC) went into halftime with a 21-20 lead and outscored the Spartans 32-18 in the fourth quarter, for a 71-53 victory.

Freshman Laney Pilcher was the top performer for the Tritons with 18 points. Sophomore Kaitlyn Tendal had 16 points and sophomore Emily Theiss added 15. Each also had nine rebounds for the Tritons.

Jordan Mayland added nine points with Amaya Terrell and Laney Maehl each scoring five off the Triton bench.

As the regular season winds down, Iowa Central hosts Southeastern at home Wednesday for Sophomore Night in Hodges Fieldhouse.
