Lincoln, NE - In rare Sunday afternoon action for the Tritons, they fell in a matchup with Southeast Community College today (11/17) in Lincoln, NE. After being tied 38-38 at the half, the Bobcats outscored the Tritons 26-16 in the third quarter and went on to win, 82-75.

"It was tough one for us today but our focus will be to take the positives from this contest and use them to move forward as we look ahead to our next game." said Triton Head Coach, Sabah Dickerson, after the Tritons' first loss of the season.

On a day when the Tritons struggled shooting the ball from three (4-of-18) and the free throw line (21-of-31), their bench answered with 26 points. The Tritons won the rebounding battle, 44-30. Hannah Bogdonovich led the Tritons with 13 points. Ashlin Jacobsen scored 12 points and Kayla Johns-McGarity added 11 points and 9 rebounds. Kiara Baptiste added 8 rebounds for the second consecutive game.

"Our bench did a good job of stepping up and getting some good shots today. We want to develop more depth as we advance in our season." said Dickerson. "We need to continue to grow defensively as a team and string more consecutive stops in a row. Our team got good looks late, but we didn't get the shots to fall. Our commitment to team defense will be huge in closing out games or extending a lead."

The Tritons move to 4-1 on the season and are back in action at Hodges Fieldhouse this weekend as they host the Great Western Shootout. On Friday (11/22) the Tritons face North Platte Community College at 5:00 PM before a matchup with Highland Community College (11/23) on Saturday (11/23) at 2:00 PM.
