Kelby Homeister enters his second season as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach for the Tritons. He leads the team in strength and conditioning workouts and runs the post player development. Prior to Iowa Central, Homeister spent three seasons as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Southeastern Community College. Kelby has been instrumental in developing numerous ICCAC All-Academic and All-Region selections both at Iowa Central and Southeastern CC.

Prior to arriving at Southeastern, Kelby spent one year as an Athletic Director and coach at Storm Lake, St. Mary’s Catholic School, and two years coaching and teaching at Durant Community School.

Kelby is from Grundy Center, Iowa. In 2016, Kelby graduated from the University of Iowa earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management and American Studies. In 2021, Homeister earned his Master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from CUI. In addition to his coaching duties, Kelby works within the Iowa Central Student Life department.
