Tritons bowl at Five Seasons Classic

CEDAR RAPIDS - The Iowa Central bowling team was in action here this past weekend at the Five Seasons Classic.

On the men's side, Jacob Kraft led the Tritons to a 10th-place showing with the Iowa Central women finishing eighth overall.

St. Ambrose was the men's winner behind individual champion Dakota Solonka. Mount Mercy won the women's team title with Styve Smedshammer claiming the individual crown.

Kraft rolled a 1,010 score with a high-game of 242 to finish ninth overall. Marcus Yamada was 26th overall with Jordan Pelant finishing 51st, Justin Graves 56th, Ian Ackerson 70th and Dalton Hout 108th. 

For the Triton women, Cassie Lee was 14th overall with a series total of 923 including a 200. Samantha Wangen was 16th, Korrissa Johnson 17th, Abigayle Clark 48th, Ashly Wiegand 51st and Kylee Witt 52nd. 

"We are headed in the right direction with better team communication and execution," Iowa Central head coach Gregg Haden said. "We will continue to get better as the season continues. Both the men and women are starting to figure some things out that are essential in competing at the highest level."

Iowa Central returns to the lanes November 13-14 in Davenport at the Leatherneck Classic.
