Potter, Kropp in Top-30 for Tritons

CEDAR RAPIDS - Behind Dale Weaver's 12th place performance, the Iowa Central men finished fifth here this past weekend at the Kohawk Invitational.

On the women's side, the Tritons were seventh in the team standings. St. Ambrose was the men's champion with Baker claiming the women's title.

Weaver had game scores of 232, 231, 230 to go along with 198 and 179 for a total of 1,070 and an average of 214. 

Jacob Kraft placed 33rd, Justin Graves was 45th, Rhett Fullhart 46th and Marcus Yamada 50th. 

"Dale continues to really bowl well here over these past two tournaments," Iowa Central head coach Gregg Haden said. "His strong performance at the top has really helped the team finish high in the standings."

Victoria Potter and Madelynn Kropp broke into the Top-30 to lead the Iowa Central women. Potter was 28th and Kropp 29th, with Madisyn Gerdts right behind in 31st. 

"It has been a nice run for Victoria as well," Haden said. "Both teams are working together and I am very happy with their communication and teamwork. 

"We are going to be ready for postseason and a run at two national championships."

The Tritons return to the lanes on February 19-20 at the Hoosier Classic.
