Tritons compete in team championships

DALLAS - After taking part in the singles portion of the USBC sectionals here on Friday, the Iowa Central bowling team took to the opening round games of team play.

On the men's side, the Tritons currently stand in 10th overall after 32 games with a score of 5,810. Iowa Central is 11th in the women's team standings with 5,487. 

Oklahoma Christian leads the men's race and Sam Houston State the women's. The sectional features the top four-year and two-year schools in the nation looking to advance to the championships in April. 

After the first 16 games, the Tritons were 16th on the men's side. They moved past six schools with a strong showing over the next 16 games. 

The final four-game Baker blocks will begin Sunday morning.
