2023-2024 Iowa Central Triton Bowling Season Preview

Completing the 2022-2023 bowling season with a 4th place finish for both the Men's and Women's team at the NJCAA National Championships, Iowa Central Men's & Women's Head Coach Gregg Haden is looking forward to seeing a higher finish out of his programs in their 2023-2024 campaign.

Starting their 12th season, Haden's bowlers have high expectations for their upcoming season.

"This is our first season being a part of the newly formed Mid Iowa Bowling Conference (MIBC)," Haden said. "We are excited to get out and play teams from the conference this year."  Teams included in the MIBC are Iowa Central CC, Iowa Western CC, Hawkeye CC, Coe College, Clarke University, University of Northern Iowa, Luther, Waldorf University, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Iowa State, and Wartburg.

Returning from last season are sophomores Arianna Slusarek, the lone Women's returner, Lucas Campbell, Easton Lee, Ethan Schlapkohl, Steven Stone, and Dawson Weber for the Men's team.  The incoming freshman class is loaded with talent on both teams.

"We are really excited to get started," said Haden. "We are looking to improve; we have a great group playing at a higher level than before. "They've set their goals high with hopes to win the Conference and a National Championship for both the Men and Women."

The Tritons open the season Saturday October 7th, 2023, at the Midwest Collegiate Champioships in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.  You can see their complete schedule on the bowling page on the Iowa Central web site.
