Triton Bowling Competes at the MIBC Tournament

Council Bluffs, IA - The Women's and Men's Bowling teams competed at the Mid Iowa Bowling Conference (MIBC) Tournament #2 held in Council Bluffs, IA on Saturday (11/16) and Sunday (11/17). The Triton Women finished in 4th place and the Men's Varsity team comes home with a 5th place finish. 

Emma Phelps bowled to an 8th place finish individually out of over 60 bowlers with a high game of 222 and an average of 169.4 to lead the Triton Women. Lucas Segebart led the way for the Men's Varsity team with a 182.8 average and high game of 233. Lucas finished 11th overall out of over 100 bowlers. Cody Huinker was next for the Tritons with a 169.2 average. Triton Assistant Coach, Haley Hall, was happy with the Tritons' effort throughout the weekend. "The conditions were tough but everyone communicated and fought through it together as a team. We were excited to have all our teams in action. Lucas led the men to a 5th place finish against a tough field and Emma led the way for the women's team."

The Triton Men's JV1 team was victorious on the JV side. Ashton Giza paced the Tritons with a 9th place finish overall, averaging 183.6, with Teddy Mans' 176 average close behind. The Triton Men's JV2 team finished in 5th place with Michael Tevogt's 167 average at the top of their scores. 

"We're looking forward to having a few weeks off to get some quality practice in before our next tournament." said Hall. The Tritons are back in action on December 7th/8th in Sioux City, IA at the Mustang Invitational.
