The Iowa Central women's golf team completed the fall portion of their schedule at the Red Tail Shootout.

Taylor Thede led the Tritons, firing an 89 to place eighth overall. Katrina Estes of William Penn was the winner.

Kelly Boleyn tied for 11th overall and Mackenzie Trinkle finished in a tie for 16th. Boleyn had a 92 and Trinkle a 94.

"We are getting really close to putting together a full team round. We've had a couple of hiccups and unforced errors that have kept us from really playing to our potential on the men's side," ICCC head coach Kris Graewin said. "Getting Kelly as much tournament experience as she's gotten these past four weeks has been great. Taylor and Mackenzie know what to expect this spring at our regional since they played last year and they have both continued to progress in the right direction."

The Iowa Central men placed fourth overall, seven shots back of winner Iowa Lakes. Joseph Forsting tied for fifth overall with a round of 73 to finish at 1-over-par. Conal Downing of Iowa Lakes was the winner at 2-under-par.

Kyle Wille tied for ninth with a 75, Tyler Kopp tied for 13th with a 77 and Lane Stanley tied for 17th with a 78. Luke Jones was a shot back of Stanley with a 79.

"Our men's season is drawing to a close here soon as well. We head to our Quad Cup event with DMACC, Iowa Lakes and NIACC Saturday for a really fun event and then head up to La Crosse, Wisconsin for the Ronnie Eastman Invitational," Graewin said. "We're going to have a nice team get together Sunday evening with a few of the Wisconsin families so it will be great to see everyone and great for our players to be able to get to know each others families better. Plus its a little homecoming for myself as well since I played at Viterbo in La Crosse."
