The Iowa Central golf team will take to the links for their only home invitational of the spring season this weekend.

The Tritons will host the Iowa Central Invitational at the Fort Dodge Country Club. Tee time is set for noon on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday. 

Joining Iowa Central in the men's portion of the event will be Waldorf, North Iowa Area, Iowa Lakes, Alexandra Tech, Grinnell, Briar Cliff, Illinois Central and Westminster. 

On the women's side, it will be the Tritons with Waldorf, NIACC, Mount Mercy, College of St. Mary, Buena Vista, Iowa Lakes, Briar Cliff, Graceland, Alexandria Tech and Simpson. 

Over 100 players are expected to be in action during the two-day event.

"It's always great to play at home and it also looks like it will be one of the few decent weekends we've had so far this spring," Iowa Central head coach Kris Graewin said. "There are some new teams that are coming up to our event, which is always fun to see different players than what we normally do.

"We've got a pretty packed field with 14 schools represented between the men's and women's teams. We've got a great group of parents and family members that are making the trip over and I know the athletes are looking forward to having them all here. The spring season always flies by but with the subpar weather we've had so far it is going by even faster."
