Boleyn paces Iowa Central at home invite

Following 18 holes of action, Kelly Boleyn is in a tie for 10th at the Iowa Central Invitational.

Boleyn fired a round of 81 at the Fort Dodge Country Club, 10 shots behind overnight leader Molly Carey of Graceland.

Briar Cliff leads the women's team standings followed by Mount Mercy, Iowa Lakes, Waldorf, North Iowa Area, St. Mary, Buena Vista and Iowa Central.

Halle Rezac is tied for 36th after recording three pars for the Tritons, while both Ella Dinsdale and Korie Norris are 50th overall.

Boleyn had two birdies on the day and four pars, including a 39 on the front nine.

"Kelly was her steady self," Iowa Central head coach Kris Graewin said. "She missed a couple putts early in her round but she's rounding into form.

"It was great to get Halle out there and experience her first Triton tournament. She was able to get her feet wet and I expect her to be able to improve on her scores (Sunday)."

Second round play begins Sunday at 9 a.m.
