ROCHESTER, Minn. - The Iowa Central wrestling team opened the season with two individual titles here Saturday at the Yellowjacket Open.

Ashton Eyler won the 174-pound bracket and Boone McDermott the 285-pount class for the Tritons.

Anthony Johnson reached the finals, placing second at 184 pounds, with Daniel Vargas and Andrew Gamble each placing fifth. Bobby Tellez was sixth.

Eyler earned a major decision over Tyler Ryan of Saint Cloud State in the finals, 15-1. McDermott picked up a technical fall over Upper Iowaás Jordan Baumler.

Iowa Central returns to action next Sunday in Ames at the Iowa State Open.
